Thank you for always watching my videos. Today, I would like to introduce you to one of Kyoto's famous tourist attractions, "Kinkaku-ji" Temple, with its beautiful golden Shariden, which is Reliquary Hall or Golden Pavilion. Join me as I walk around Kinkaku-ji and experience its beauty firsthand.
"Kinkaku-ji," officially known as "Rokuon-ji," was constructed in Kyoto during the 14th century by Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, the third shogun of the Muromachi shogunate. The gardens and architecture of Kinkaku-ji, said to recreate paradise on Earth, are exceptionally beautiful, as depicted in this video, and are undoubtedly worth a visit. "Kinkaku-ji," is also historically renowned to the extent of being featured in Japanese elementary school textbooks.
Let's take a walk around the Shariden, Golden Pavilion, of Kinkaku-ji wearing Japanese Kimono. Next to the golden Shariden, there is a pond called "Kyoko-chi," which reflects the temple creating the "inverted Kinkaku" view. This reflection is incredibly beautiful, almost like a paradise on Earth. You can enjoy different views of Kinkaku-ji depending on the time of day, weather, and season.
Within the precincts of Kinkaku-ji, there is a small waterfall called "Ryumon no Taki" or Dragon Gate Falls. Inspired by a Chinese legend where carp turning into dragons by climbing a waterfall reach the heavens, there is a stone shaped like a carp placed beneath the waterfall. Why not take advantage of the blessings of this stone?
We would love to hear your opinions and impressions about Kinkaku-ji. Thank you for watching the video until the end. Kinkaku-ji is open for visitors from 9 AM to 5 PM, so consider including it in your Kyoto travel plans. Check the description for the map and related sites of Kinkaku-ji in the explanation column. I would greatly appreciate it if you could give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel. Let's meet again soon. Goodbye!
